LetsFixIndia is maintained by Basith and built to become a sourced public record. It is not a shrine, a slogan, or a rage-feed. Each entry should let you ask three ordinary questions: what happened, who says so, and what is still unresolved.
This is a one-person project with a deliberately public working method: raw notes stay preserved, public entries stay sourced, and corrections are expected. The archive is allowed to be unfinished; it is not allowed to pretend otherwise.

Chief Minister, caretaker, constitutional-gap, formal opposition, and vacancy records remain tied to source entries, and uncertain boundaries stay explicit.

A sourced public-record timeline of major governance, rights, press-freedom, and institutional events in India, concentrated on the BJP/Modi administrations from 2014 to 2026. Vajpayee-era terms, UPA-I, UPA-II, and each state/UT government term spanning 2014 are included as context. Every entry carries a named source and a visible evidence status. The archive records improvements too; a criticism that cannot survive a fair comparison is not useful criticism.
It is a critical record, and it says so openly (or as a popular online comment goes, "the human body is not meant to endure three BJP terms"). But criticism is bound by evidence rules: opposition claims are labelled as claims, allegations are not written as convictions, and indicators that improved under this government — GDP per capita, inflation, internet access, PLFS unemployment — are shown on the Stats page alongside the ones that worsened.

Because 26 May 2014 marks the start of the Modi-led Union government and the project's primary research scope. The immediately preceding UPA-II term and the state/UT government term spanning the 2014 boundary are included for context; that does not imply exhaustive event coverage before 2014.
Wikipedia is used only as a lead list, never as final proof. Entries that still rest on a Wikipedia citation are being upgraded to primary or newswire sources, and weak leads are held in a research backlog rather than promoted to the timeline.
Use the Submit page and mark the record as a correction, with source links. Corrections backed by stronger evidence than the current entry override it — that is a standing rule of the project, not a favour.
It sums three periods of BJP-led central government: Vajpayee's 16-day term in 1996, the Vajpayee governments from 19 March 1998 to 22 May 2004, and the Modi period from 26 May 2014 to today. It recalculates live on every visit.
The project is maintained independently — see the About page. The most useful contribution is specific: a missing event, a stronger source, a court-status update, a translation, or a correction to wording that claims more than the evidence supports. "Everyone knows" is not a citation.

Nobody, which is both the good news and the problem. There is no party, NGO, foreign hand, or mysterious uncle behind this — just one maintainer, Basith (@basithladdu), and a support page that helps cover hosting, media storage, and maintenance time. Money pays infrastructure and upkeep; it has never bought a single word of an entry, and it never will. The evidence rules on the Method page are the editor, not any donor.

Yes. The dataset and codebase are open source in the public repository, so contributors can inspect the records, verify the code, run it locally, or host a mirror. The website itself does not show raw-data download buttons.
